After eight years at Clear Channel, Rob Williams steps down as Market Manager and leaves the company to pursue new opportunities. In the interim, CC EVPO/Eastern Region Tom Schurr will oversee the stations and be based out of the New York office on a full-time basis.

More Sirius XM Radio management announcements are coming in the Talk and Sports world. Among those is the departure of Kevin Straley from the SVP/Talk and Sports post. Straley will assist in the transition until November 15. SVP/Talk and Entertainment Jeremy Coleman’s roster includes: Dave Gorab, VP/Original Talk; John McDermott, VP/Comedy and Entertainment; Frank Raphael, VP/News and Operations; Todd Stack, Sr. Director/Talk Production; Don Wicklin, Sr. Director/Partner Programming; Jason Schramm, Director/Programming Development, with Sr. Directors Kenny Curtis, Craig Schwalb and Maurice Tunick. SVP/Sports Programming Steve Cohen's line-up includes: Brian Hamilton, VP/Sports Programming; Doug Mortman, Director/Sports Programming Operations; Daniel Norwood, Director/NASCAR Radio; Nick Pavlatos, Director/NFL Radio; Matt Fishman, Director/College Sports Programming; Chuck Dickemann, Sr. Director/MLB Home Plate; Steve Torre, Director/Mad Dog Radio; Joey DiFazio, Director/Sports Imaging; and Chris Castleberry, Director/
PGA Radio.

Greater Media-Detroit names Peter Connolly as Director of Sales for the three-station cluster, replacing John Long, who recently exited.


Mike Novak rises to the President/CEO post at EMF Broadcasting, taking over for the resigning Dick Jenkins. Novak will also head the K-Love and Air 1 Foundations.


Warner/Chappell Music taps SVP Scott McDowell as Head of Legal and Business Affairs, succeeding Ed Pierson who moves on to pursue new opportunities.

 

Island Def Jam Music Group promotes Traci Adams to National Director/Promotion In her new post, Adams will supervise and direct the IDJ national Field Promotion staff, schedule upcoming single releases and artist promotional tours, and manage various departmental budgets. Her duties will include serving as radio trouble shooter, communicating with Regional Branch offices, setting up artist promotion strategies, as well as creating and implementing contests, promotions, and special events such as conventions and listening sessions.

 

WCBS-AM and 1010 WINS/New York began simulcasting in HD on the FM dial. WCBS Newsradio can now be found on WCBS-FM's HD 3 channel on New York area HD radios. In addition, 1010 WINS is now simulcasting in HD on WWFS-FM's HD 3 station on HD Radio receivers.
