TargetSpot Expands, Acquires Ronning Lipset
October 15, 2008

Web radio advertising network TargetSpot Inc. acquires Ronning Lipset Radio, creating the largest reach of any online ad network. The expanded company now represents over 1000 stations on over 50 radio groups and Web properties, including CBS Radio, Entercom, Yahoo, AOL Radio, Live365 and many more.

TargetSpot allows advertisers to purchase and place audio and visual ads on Internet radio stations that are part of its network, via its Web site. While TargetSpot's clients had mostly been smaller, local companies, Ronning Lipset has a larger sales staff and relationships with bigger Web radio networks.

Ronning Lipset Radio’s two co-founders and managing partners, Eric Ronning and Andy Lipset, will join TargetSpot serving as co-Presidents of Sales, along with the entire Ronning Lipset team.

"Eric and Andy are true leaders and innovators in their field. Ronning Lipset Radio was the first company to recognize the untapped value and immense opportunities presented by Internet radio advertising. They have generated more revenue for the online radio industry than any other third party rep firm and have accounted for close to 14 billion audio player impressions sold since the company’s inception. With TargetSpot’s technology and Ronning Lipset’s sales expertise, we look forward to providing unprecedented solutions for advertisers and the strongest monetization possible for Internet radio businesses," said TargetSpot CEO Doug Perlson.
