After dipping into the past for her last album, which had a very 1930s and '40s influenced sound, Christina Aguilera is looking to the future for her next CD. Aguilera is working with electronic-oriented artists such as Sia Furler, Goldfrapp and Ladytron to collaborate on a more "futuristic" fourth album, which she'll continue to work on in 2009. As for working with Sia, a former member of the trippy Zero 7, Aguilera said the two plan to hit the studio in January. "I'm not exactly sure what we're gonna get when we get in the studio together, but (as) with all great things I'll go in and there's probably magic to be had," she stated, according to Billboard.com.
As for other collaborators on the album, Aguilera said there's "nothing I can give away now, but there's always somebody that I'm inspired by to work with. I have to keep under wraps who that would be, just 'cause I always like the element of surprise."
As previously reported, Aguilera will release Keeps Getting Better: A Decade of Hits on November 11 exclusively at Target stores. Along with popular songs like "Dirty," "Come On Over" and "Hurt," the collection will include new versions of "Genie in a Bottle" and "Beautiful," as well as two brand new songs called "Keeps Getting Better" and "Dynamite."
