Britney Spears

Britney Spears' new album, Circus, is available to stream for free in its entirety right now via imeem at imeem.com/britneyspears. The album comes out on December 2, the same day that Brit will perform on Good Morning America. December 2 is also Britney’s 27th birthday. Circus is her sixth studio album, following last year’s Blackout.  For the album, Britney enlisted a stellar group of established producers/writers including Dr. Luke, Danja, Max Martin, Bloodshy & Avant and Guy Sigsworth.

Lil Wayne has announced the specific dates for his I Am Music Tour, featuring Gym Class Heroes, Keri Hilson, T-Pain and Keyshia Cole. The 24-city outing is slated to kick off on December 14 in Miami and run through a January 19 date in Worcester, MA.

Over the weekend, No Doubt announced that they would return to the road in 2009. Now it has been confirmed that the reunited band will headline the second night of the 2009 Bamboozle festival in East Rutherford, NJ on May 3. The first night (May 2) will be headlined by Fall Out Boy.

Slipknot has tapped Coheed And Cambria and Trivium to open for them on a 2009 winter tour in support of All Hope Is Gone. The tour, which kicks off on January 23 in St. Paul, MN, will hit 33 cities across the country. It's scheduled to wrap in Sacramento on March 11.

The new Guns N' Roses album, Chinese Democracy, has been bashed by the Chinese government. A newspaper published by the ruling Chinese communist party, the Global Times, has described the album as a "venomous attack" on the country and said the band "turns its spear point on China." The band's first album in 17 years was released on Sunday and its Geffen Records label doubts that the album will be approved for release in China anyway, added Reuters. "As far as I know, many people don't like this kind of music," Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang told a news briefing. "It's too noisy and clamorous."

Franz Ferdinand will return to North America to preview 2009's Tonight: Franz Ferdinand with a handful of live dates in December. The Scottish band will play three Canadian gigs, and a number of radio festivals for WFNX, KNRK, KITS, KVGS and KROQ. The tour ends with a headlining gig in San Diego on December 15.

On Sunday night, 50 Cent kicked off a new weekly show on Sirius XM's Shade 45 channel called G-Unit Sundays. Every Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. EST on G-Unit Sundays, listeners will hear new DJs playing the newest and best music with special guests and surprises. This past Sunday, 50 was live in the studio for the launch of the show, hosting a special show called This is 50 Radio. The rapper played music and took calls from listeners as well as Ludacris, Jadakiss and Bow Wow. The rebroadcast of 50 Cent live in the studio will air on Thursday, November 27 from midnight to 4 a.m. and 4 to 8 p.m.; Friday, November 28 from noon to 4 p.m. and Sunday, November 30 from 4 to 8.

The Blur reunion rumor mill is heating up again overseas, as singer Damon Albarn told the BBC that the founding members of the Brit-pop band "are certainly going to rehearse [in 2009] and see if we sound like we used to."

"California" Pop-Rockers Phantom Planet are calling it a day after almost 15 years together. The band, which formed as teenagers in the '90s, announced to their fans today that they will play a final gig on December 12 at the Troubadour in Los Angeles, "the same venue that we played our very first live all ages gig, back in 1994." They add, "We have had an amazing time playing together for 15 years, but we have officially decided to go on hiatus, and will not be playing any more live shows or making any new records, indefinitely. There is so much more to write, but at this time, we just want to say thank you, to everyone, for their support, friendship, inspiration, attendance, and love."
