Lil Wayne and T-Pain are still working together as much as possible on their Rap super-collaboration dubbed T-Wayne. However, their hectic schedules have made it tough. Wayne is still putting finishing touches on his Rock album, Rebirth, while T-Pain is always making guest appearances on other people's records. "We got 12 songs right now," T-Pain told MTV News recently about the T-Wayne sessions. "We going slow; there's no rush. It can come out whenever. We're gonna keep it pushing, however. It's gonna be pushed."
After selling out three shows at Giants Stadium this fall, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band have added fourth and fifth shows. The Boss will play October 8 and 9, becoming the final band ever to perform at the legendary stadium. Kings Of Leon has announced a new round of tour dates for the fall, starting in Uncasville, CT on September 9 and running up to October 16 in Nashville. The video for their new single, "Notion," also debuted online today at MySpace.
The Black Eyed Peas, M.I.A., Thievery Corporation, Modest Mouse, The Dead Weather and Cake will top San Diego's annual Street Scene Festival, to be held August 28 & 29 in the city's East Village section. Other acts on the bill include Silversun Pickups, Band of Horses, Girl Talk, Chromeo, Mastodon, Ozomatli, Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings, Devendra Banhart, Bassnectar, Shooter Jennings, No Age, Calexico and West Indian Girl.
Blue October have announced their Crazy Making Summer tour with Switchfoot, which will kick off July 26 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Special guests Ours and Longwave will also be along for the ride. Tickets go on sale to the general public for all shows on June 5, but exclusive pre-sale tickets are available via each of the four band's websites. The trek is currently scheduled to run through August 29 in New York's Hampton Beach.
Brit rockers Arctic Monkeys will release their third studio album on August 25. According to the NME, the band has chosen 10 songs from their sessions with producers James Ford and Queens Of The Stone Age main man Josh Homme.
Harvey Danger, known for their massive '90s hit "Flagpole Sitta," have called it a day. The band had a 15-year run as a cult favorite and released the album Little By Little for free on the Internet (before Radiohead or Nine Inch Nails) in 2006. Harvey Danger will play a handful of farewell shows this summer.
