According to the New York Times, Jay-Z will celebrate the release of The Blueprint 3 on September 11 with a headlining gig at Madison Square Garden. The Times reports that the show will be a benefit concert for the New York Police and Fire Widows' and Children's Benefit Fund. No specifics or ticket information about the concert has been confirmed yet.

The band played Saturday at the Bowery Ballroom and Sunday at Webster Hall, where NIN played the 1994 landmark album The Downward Spiral in its entirety for the first (and likely last) time ever. NIN continue the "Wave Goodbye" series of shows with two more smaller gigs in NYC on August 25 and 26, before playing Chicago, Toronto and Los Angeles.
Amy Winehouse made a return to the stage over the weekend at the V Festival in the U.K. Winehouse performed for the first time in the U.K. in over a year when she joined reunited Ska legends The Specials on Saturday. She sang with the band on "You're Wondering Now" and "Ghost Town."
AFI has expanded their upcoming fall tour, with new dates running up to November 7 in Chicago. Their new album, Crash Love, will be released on September 29. The lead single, "Medicate," arrived at radio today, officially impacting for adds next week.
As expected, Them Crooked Vultures were indeed the surprise guest at the Pukkelpop Festival in Belgium over the weekend. The supergroup's next show is set for tonight at London’s Islington Academy.
