Pearl Jam
Pearl Jam released their ninth album Backspacer yesterday and guitarist Mike McCready spoke to MTV News about the sessions for the record. "We had about 17 to 20 ideas going into this project, and when we had 11 about finished, [producer] Brendan [O'Brien] and Ed [Vedder] sat down and said, 'This looks like a really good record,' " He added that "Stone [Gossard] had been talking about wanting to have a record that was shorter and more concise, and I think we achieved that." McCready hinted there may be some more material left over from the Backspacer sessions that could appear in 2010. "We still have other songs that are out there that are from this session that we may do something with in about six months," he said.

Weezer has unveiled the entire track list for their upcoming album, Raditude, due out October 27. Fans who pre-order the record on iTunes will get a pair of bonus tracks, including Weezer's MGMT/Lady Gaga mash-up cover of "Kids/Poker Face." A deluxe edition of Raditude comes with four additional tracks.

Scott Weiland was on hand in Miami Saturday for the launch of his new clothing line, hours after having a seizure on an airplane. Weiland was en route from Los Angeles to Florida when he suffered the seizure, forcing the plane to divert to Dallas-Fort Worth. Weiland was hospitalized as a precaution and then cleared to resume his trip. "Scott is doing great," the singer's publicist tells E! News.

Justin Timberlake was nominated for multiple Emmys last night, but the multi-talented performer only walked away with one: Guest Actor in a Comedy Series for his hosting duties on Saturday Night Live last season.

Green Day, Leona Lewis and Tokio Hotel will perform the 2009 MTV Europe Music Awards, which will take place at the O2 World in Berlin, and will be broadcast live on MTV on November 5. Green Day also has been nominated for Best Live Act, Best Group and Best Rock at the show. Lewis has been nominated in the Best Female category and Tokio Hotel is up for Best Group. Kings of Leon and Lady GaGa top the list of nominees with five apiece.

Lynyrd Skynyrd will appear on the Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien tonight (9/21) performing their new single, “Simple Life,” from the upcoming album God & Guns, due on September 29. God & Guns is the band’s first full length studio album since 2003’s Vicious Cycle, and their first release on Loud & Proud/Roadrunner Records.

Flyleaf

Flyleaf will hit the road in support of their forthcoming album, Memento Mori. The tour kicks off in Los Angeles on October 29 and sees the band traveling across the country through the end of November. Memento Mori comes out on November 10, but before that, the band will play Jimmy Kimmel Live on October 28.

Death Cab For Cutie singer Ben Gibbard and actress/singer Zooey Deschanel married yesterday (9/20) outside of Seattle, according to multiple reports. Death Cab recently released their new single, "Meet Me On The Equinox," off the Twilight: New Moon soundtrack and Deschanel can be seen in theaters in her latest film, (500) Days Of Summer.

Tori Amos will release an album of holiday music, titled Midwinter Graces, on November 10 via Universal Republic. Billboard reports that the record is a mix of standards and original compositions.

Slash will host an all-star concert in Las Vegas on October 2, celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Mirage hotel and casino. Billed as "Slash & Friends," the event will feature appearances from Courtney Love, Joe Perry, Rob Zombie, Nicole Scherzinger, Tommy Lee, Jason Bonham, Matt Sorum and many others, according to Rolling Stone.

The Ting Tings teamed up with Adidas over the weekend for an invitation-only "paint party" where concertgoers and the Ting Tings themselves wore black Adidas tracksuits and painted the walls and themselves with neon paint. The walls and floors of the club will be reused as collectable album covers for their next single, "Great DJ."

The legendary Leonard Cohen is expected to resume his European tour tonight, after he collapsed onstage in Spain Friday. The singer, who turned 75 today, fainted in the middle of a song. Cohen's manager later said that he had been suffering from food poisoning and opted to go on with the show rather than cancel. Cohen starts a North American tour in Sunrise, FL on October 17.
