Rush Limbaugh has confirmed that he has an offer on the table to buy the NFL's St. Louis Rams franchise. In a statement issued to his St. Louis affiliate KMOX, Limbaugh acknowledged that he and St. Louis Blues owner Dave Checketts are trying to buy the team, according to reports.

ABC News Radio in Washington D.C. and New York City has let go of about twenty staffers, according to multiple reports. While most cuts affected news writers and engineers, also cut were veteran managers Robert Garcia and Peter Salinger. The reporting staff remains the same and ABC is supplying the same number of newscasts and standing by to do breaking news.
Orbitcast reports that the iPhone app for the XM SkyDock will be released early next week, according to its sources. The SkyDock device is slated to be officially available in stores early next week too, possibly as early as October 11. The app allows for the usage of the SkyDock hardware, which can turn any iPhone or iPod Touch into an XM receiver.
Premiere Radio Networks announces the addition of the long running syndicated Country program The Crook & Chase Countdown. Premiere will assume distribution rights to the four-hour weekend radio program on October 10, and it will be available for air between 6 a.m. and 12 a.m. local time. The Crook & Chase Countdown will continue to be based in Nashville. Former NAB Joint Board Chairman Donald Thurston, the long-time owner of Berkshire Broadcasting Corporation in New England, has passed away at the age of 79 after a battle with Parkinson's Disease. Thurston served as NAB Joint Board Chairman from 1977 to 1979.
