Breaking Benjamin's fourth album, Dear Agony, made an impressive debut on the SoundScan chart at #4, moving 134,000 copies in its first week in stores. Ben Burnley, frontman for the Pennsylvania rockers, mined his personal demons for the new songs on Dear Agony, including his battle with alcoholism."I've suffered permanent brain damage through alcoholism," Burnley, who has been sober for over two years, told Billboard. "I don't want to say that I'm proud to have stopped, but I'm glad I realized that I wanted to stick around for a while." The album cover for Dear Agony shows a scan of Burnley's own brain. "All the tests and hospital visits stick with you, so I thought the scan was an effective image to use. It was a dangerous situation to be in... thankfully, I was able to reflect what was going on in my life within the music."
Breaking Benjamin will be on tour starting November 29 in San Antonio, with Sick Puppies, Rev Theory and Adelitas Way opening up.
