Quick Hits: John Legend, Adam Lambert, U2, Nirvana, Lacuna Coil
October 29, 2009

John Legend will sing the National Anthem at Yankee Stadium before Game 2 of the World Series tonight. The performance will coincide within the overall dedication of Game 2 to celebrating the legacy of the late Roberto Clemente and the spirit of community service. Legend will sing the National Anthem after New York natives Jay-Z and Alicia Keys perform their new single, "Empire State of Mind." The coverage on Fox will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Adam Lambert has revealed more details about his upcoming debut album, For Your Entertainment. Lambert wrote on Twitter that the lead single will be the title track to the record. He also said that U.K. rockers Muse wrote his new track "Soaked," and that ex-Darkness frontman Justin Hawkins penned the track "Music Again." Lambert himself wrote four songs on For Your Entertainment, which is due out November 23.

Variety reports that Sunday night's U2 concert webcast on YouTube has generated almost 10 million streams, making it the largest streaming event in YouTube history. The concert, which is archived still and can be viewed
here, drew just over a million more streams since its debut Sunday night.

This Tuesday, November 3, Nirvana's Live At Reading will be released as a CD, DVD and CD/DVD set. A trailer for the legendary 1992 performance hit the web today and can be seen below:

Lacuna Coil singer Cristina Scabbia is now doing a weekly segment on the nationally syndicated show hardDrive. In her "Ask Cristina" segment, Scabbia will offer advice about life and love in response to questions presented by listeners. The feature debuted last weekend and is a Friday night feature on the nightly hardDrive XL with Lou Brutus. Listeners can leave a message for Cristina at 877-MUSIC-11 or e-mail her at askcristina@harddriveradio.com.
