Rihanna Rocks With Slash, Young Jeezy On Rated R
November 3, 2009

Rihanna
Rihanna has released the track list for her upcoming album, Rated R, which is due on November 23. The 13-song album will feature the first single, "Russian Roulette," as well as "Hard" (featuring Young Jeezy), "ROCKSTAR 101" (featuring Slash), "Rude Boy" (which leaked this past summer), "Photographs" (featuring Will.I.Am) and more. While gearing up for the album's unveiling, the singer has done her first few interviews since her altercation with Chris Brown in February. She will appear on ABC this week in an interview that will run as part of Good Morning America on Thursday and 20/20 on Friday, and she also spoke to Glamour magazine about her ordeal.

In the interview with Diane Sawyer, Rihanna says that Brown was "definitely my first big love." "This happened to me... it can happen to anyone," she explained, according to excerpts that were released early.

In the December issue of Glamour, Rihanna said she felt like "I went to sleep as Rihanna and woke up as Britney Spears. That was the level of media chaos that happened the next day. It was like, 'What, there are helicopters circling my house? There are 100 people in my cul-de-sac? What do you mean, I can't go back home?'"

Rihanna said that her friends and family have been extremely supportive as she dealt with the media firestorm and emotions of the incident, and she spoke of how disappointed she was when the photo leaked that was taken after the assault. "But at some point you are there alone. It's a lonely place to be — no one can understand," she told Glamour. "The positive thing that has come out of my situation is that people can learn from that. I want to give as much insight as I can to young women, because I feel like I represent a voice that really isn't heard. Now I can help speak for those women."

She also noted that the life experience has inspired her work. "I've put everything I wanted to say for the past eight months into my music," Rihanna said. "[My new album] is super fearless, which is exactly how I feel right now. I am in a really good place."
