Don Parker is named OM of Clear Channel-San Francisco, overseeing the seven station cluster starting November 16. Parker has spent the past four years as President of Parker Broadcasting Media Specialists. "Words can’t express how excited I am to be joining Gene Romano, Dave Pugh and the talented group of programmers at Clear Channel San Francisco," said Parker. "These brands are among the most respected in Bay Area radio and I’m honored at the opportunity to guide them to even greater success."
Jeff McMurray is tapped as OM at Clear Channel-Sacramento. McMurray will oversee Hot AC KGBY, Classic Hits KHLX, Adult Hits KQJK and Oldies KHYL.
Brian Bridgman joins Rhythmic AC KDAY/Los Angeles as OM. Bridgman was most recently PD of KKRZ/Portland. Former KKRZ/Portland PD Brian Bridgman is named OM at Rhythmic AC KDAY/Los Angeles.
At KITS (Live 105)/San Francisco, midday host Madden has left the station after eight years to pursue other new opportunities. Kat is handling the midday reigns for now. Madden can be contacted at itsmadden@me.com.
WRXP (101.9 RXP)/New York has announced their second annual Holiday concert: Matt Pinfield’s Holiday Extravaganza 2 featuring Phoenix, Passion Pit & Jack’s Mannequin with special guest Manchester Orchestra. The concert will take place on Wednesday, December 2 at the Hammerstein Ballroom. Don Alias exits the PD post at Oldies KHYL and Adult Hits KQJK/Sacramento. Ryan Wild joins Hot AC WZSR and Oldies WWYW/Crystal Lake-Chicago as OM/PD. Wild, who will also do nights on WZSR, replaces Steve Cherry.
Triton Media announces that Jacobs Media and consultant/CHR programmer Joel Salkowitz will contribute to Dial Global’s development of the recently announced Jelli nationally syndicated radio programs. "We’re excited about this initiative with Jelli and Dial Global," noted Fred Jacobs, President of Jacobs Media. "This is a perfect marriage of music programming and digital platforms – right in the sweet spot of our company."
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that broadcaster Eddie Edwards has scrapped plans to buy a station in the Steel City to bring African-American News and Talk back to the dial. Edwards' son tells the paper that his father was recently hospitalized and is currently under a physician's care.

Universal Music Group and Serato Audio Research announce a global and secure digital distribution service for DJs entitled Whitelabel.net. The service, which has successfully delivered 2.5 million tracks to over 40,000 DJs worldwide during a pre-launch trial over the past year, marks the first collaboration of its kind between a major recording company and a service specifically designed for DJs.
