Don Parker is named OM of Clear Channel-San Francisco, overseeing the seven station cluster starting November 16. Parker has spent the past four years as President of Parker Broadcasting Media Specialists. Brian Bridgman joins Rhythmic AC KDAY/Los Angeles as OM. Bridgman was most recently PD of KKRZ/Portland.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that broadcaster Eddie Edwards has scrapped plans to buy a station in the Steel City to bring African-American News and Talk back to the dial. Edwards' son tells the paper that his father was recently hospitalized and is currently under a physician's care.
