Richie Sambora
Bon Jovi's Richie Sambora has launched "You Can Go Home," his latest philanthropic effort to raise funds and give back to his hometown community. The beneficiary of the program will be Kelly Mahon, a New Jersey teenager whose life was altered by a brain tumor and whose family is working with Sambora to raise funds to bring Kelly home from the hospital for Thanksgiving. Students at Sambora's alma matter, Woodbridge Township High School, will be eligible to win a $5,000 college scholarship through their fundraising efforts during a grassroots campaign to sell limited-edition, specially designed keychains. "I am excited to launch this program, which will assist Kelly come home, help her family and involve the young people in Woodbridge Township and other communities by rewarding their community service,"  Sambora said. "Bon Jovi fans have always supported our efforts, and it is my hope that people who contribute will learn and be inspired by Kelly’s amazing courage and her very special story. Before she became ill her life was all about helping others, and this program will hopefully lead others to ‘Go Home’ to help in their own communities around the world." Bon Jovi's new album, The Circle, will be out on November 10, and FMQB Productions' one-hour radio special, Inside Bon Jovi: The Circle, will explore the making of the album and premiere new songs. It will air on radio stations nationwide starting November 6.

ABC News has scheduled a special one-hour primetime interview with Janet Jackson, marking her first extensive television interview since her brother Michael's death. Good Morning America host Robin Roberts will conduct the interview at Jackson's Malibu home, and it will air on November 18 at 10 p.m. Miss Jackson will release a new best-of collection, titled Number Ones, on November 17. The compilation includes the new single "Make Me," produced by her and Rodney Jerkins.

Supergroup Chickenfoot was named Best New Band at Classic Rock Magazine’s annual awards ceremony in London on November 2. Also this week, the group released a Deluxe Limited Edition of their eponymous debut album which is being sold exclusively at Best Buy. The package has one bonus track, "Bitten by the Wolf," and a bonus DVD containing an hour of behind the scenes footage, music videos, interviews and concert footage. Chickenfoot will be performing "Sexy Little Thing" and "Oh Yeah" on Jimmy Kimmel Live on November 6 and the band also announced a December 5 Show at the Joint in Las Vegas.

Slash recruited quite a roster of guest musicians to appear on his Slash & Friends solo album, which is due next year. The list includes Dave Grohl, Flea, Chris Cornell, Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger, Iggy Pop, Fergie, Alice Cooper, Ozzy Osbourne and more. However, the one person he didn't get was Jack White. "I wanted to get Jack White to sing on something, but he didn’t want to sing," Slash told Musicradar.com. "He said ‘I’ll play drums, I’ll play guitar, but I don’t wanna sing.’ He was one guy that I wanted to work with. Pretty much everyone else that I went after I managed to get." Meanwhile, White is busy with his Third Man Records imprint, which on November 9 will release a seven-inch single called "A Glorious Dawn." The track is an arrangement of spoken words by astronomer Carl Sagan and snippets of Stephen Hawking's voice, coupled with keyboards and electro beats.

Kings Of Leon are set to release their own clothing line, though only in Europe. The band has teamed up with French designers Surface To Air and will sell the limited edition clothing line exclusively at the Paris Texas shop in Copenhagen. However, fans wanting to see the collection or to reserve items can do so by visiting the shop's blog at ParisTexasCopenhagen.blogspot.com.
