Bon Jovi will perform "We Weren't Born To Follow" at an historic event commemorating the 20th anniversary of the fall of Berlin Wall on Monday, November 9 in Berlin, Germany for the "Fest der Freiheit," an event taking place at Brandenburg Gate. In front of a crowd that will include Hillary Clinton, Mikhail Gorbachev and Nelson Mandela, Bon Jovi will perform their latest single from their new record, The Circle. In the late '80s, Jon Bon Jovi chipped a piece of the Betlin Wall off and has kept it ever since. "It's a reminder that, while walls can separate us geographically, they can't conceal the ways that we're all human beings sharing similar dreams and desires," he said.
On November 16, Rihanna will give a sneak peek at her new album, Rated R, with a secret show in London that will be webcast worldwide. According to MTV News, the show will be sponsored by Nokia, which will also host Rated R listening parties on November 16. The Nokia Music Store will also offer an enhanced version of the album when it is released, with exclusive cover art, a remix and an exclusive bonus track.

AFI | AFI has extended their touring behind the band's latest record, Crash Love, well in 2010. The new dates run until January 31 in Las Vegas. A new AFI five-song pack will be released for Rock Band on Novemeber 17. Also, guitarist Jade Puget tells Billboard that he and singer Davey Havok plan to continue their side project, Blaqk Audio. He says, "We actually have a Blaqk Audio album finished that we're going to release after Crash Love. Whenever we're done touring on this, we'll immediately put it out."
When John Mayer plays live on the Late Show with David Letterman on November 19, he will also perform a bonus concert for the CBS Interactive Music Group. The show will stream on the Late Show's official website at CBS.com at 8 p.m. that night, with live and on-demand video of the concert on CBS properties including Last.fm, mp3.com and many more.
Lady Gaga describes her upcoming Monster Ball Tour in a new interview with MTV News. She says the trek is like an opera, "an ostentatious, over-the-top interpretation of a story. So that's what pretty much my whole life is, but that's what the show is [also]." She adds, "it's also done in what now is becoming my aesthetic, which is part pop, part performance art, part fashion installation — so all of those things are present."
EMI has been granted a temporary injunction against digital music site BlueBeat, which had been illegally selling The Beatles' catalog digitally. Billboard reports that the court order prevents BlueBeat from selling any EMI music, including the Beatles'.
Madonna's Sticky & Sweet Tour was named the Top Tour and Top Draw of the past year at the Billboard Touring Awards, while her manager Guy Oseary was named Top Manager.
Beginning today, Last.fm and Last.fm Discover will exclusively play three new tracks from The Killers' new live release, Live From The Royal Albert Hall, which hits stores next Tuesday. Next week, the Killers will serve as the Artist of the Week on Last.fm Discover, which highlights a different breaking or breakthrough artist with a new or forthcoming release each week.
American Idol winner Kris Allen's self-titled debut record will make its world debut streaming on AOL Music starting this Monday, November 9. The video for his single "Live Like We're Dying" debuted today on AOL's PopEater.com. Manchester Orchestra's video for their new single "Shake It Out" debuted today on MySpace. The band is playing half a dozen radio holiday shows in December for WRXP, WBRU, WPBZ, WSUN (97X), KBZT and WKQX (Q101).
