Quick Hits: Them Crooked Vultures, Lil Wayne, Nickelback, Green Day, Metallica, Rolling Stones, Phish
November 10, 2009

Supergroup Them Crooked Vultures have begun streaming their anticipated, self-titled debut album on their website, via YouTube. The entire album can be heard song-by-song via the YouTube video embedded below. Them Crooked Vultures arrives in stores on November 17. The band will play four West Coast shows later this month, in Los Angeles, Oakland, Seattle and Portland, OR.

Lil Wayne's oft-delayed "Rock" album Rebirth has an official release date at last. Billboard reports that Rebirth will be out via Universal Music Group on December 15, packaged as a two-CD set alongside the Young Money compilation album We Are Young Money. Rebirth had been originally scheduled for April 7, with two singles released earlier this year from the album. In related news, UMG has a December 22 release date now listed for Mary J. Blige's Stronger and rapper Redman's 9 1/2 is slated for December 15 on Def Jam.

Nickelback's new single "Burn It To The Ground" has been chosen as the new theme song to WWE Monday Night RAW. The song debuts, with a new opening credits sequence for the show, next Monday, November 16. "...To Be Loved" by Papa Roach had been the RAW theme song for the past three years.

Green Day's American Idiot musical will reportedly hit the Great White Way sometime in the near future. Playbill magazine reports that the show, which has exclusively run on Green Day's home turf of the Bay Area, will hit Broadway at a time to be determined. A spokesperson for the show is quoted as saying that while American Idiot will run in New York City, "no dates or theater are confirmed."

Metallica has announced a handful of South American and Central American tour dates for 2010. Metallica will play Lima, Peru on January 19, then visit Costa Rica, Panama, Columbia and Venezuela in early March. The band said in a statement, "We are looking forward to visiting cities we have never played before . . . San Jose, Costa Rica and Panama City, Panama to be specific. And as we've only had the chance to visit Caracas and Bogota once before in 1999, this leg of the 'World Magnetic' tour is sure to be a memorable one."

The Rolling Stones' 1991 live film Live At The Max, the first-ever concert film shot for IMAX, has been released today on DVD and BluRay. It was shot in 1990 on the Stones' Steel Wheels tour and remains the most successful IMAX concert film of all time.

Phish will wrap up their 2009 reunion with four shows in Miami. The band will play December 28-31 at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, with three sets slated for New Year's Eve. Phish also celebrated New Year's Eve in Miami in 2003.
