Clear Channel CHR WIOQ (Q102)/Philadelphia is losing its fine APD/MD/afternoon drive host Joey Brooks, who has tendered his resignation and will exit Q102 at the end of the month to join 104.5 CHUM-FM/Toronto as its new afternoon drive host.
"After almost 10 amazing years with Clear Channel and 3 1/2 years with Q102, I have made the decision to move on to the next step in my career," Brooks tells FMQB about his new opportunity in the Great White North.
"I am beyond excited to have Joey join the CHUM FM team," says CHUM Radio VP/Programming and PD of CHUM FM David Corey. "He is going to sound great in Toronto, and I can't wait for him to start. Plus, having another Red Sox fan here doesn't hurt either!"
Brooks' first day at CHUM FM is December 1.
