Julie Davenport is named VP/GSM of CBS Interactive Music Group. She joins from CBS Interactive-San Francisco and will now be based in New York, reporting to Michael Weiss, President of Sales for CBS Radio. "Julie is well versed in the interactive space and knows how to best use a cross section of assets to grow exposure for brands across several different categories," said Weiss. "She is a creative force who will present our formidable national/international platform that reaches more than 40 million users a month to a host of advertisers and digital agencies in a way they have never seen before."

Lance Richard has been named Vice President of Digital Sales at Entercom. Richard will lead and direct Entercom’s local and national digital sales initiatives working with the Company’s varied sales and marketing staffs.

Morning show player and midday talent Monique exits CHR/Rhythmic KBOS/Fresno. Morning co-host Andre will handle middays.

Long time programmer Mikey Johnson is named as the new PD for Radio One Urban WHHL (HOT 104.1)/St. Louis. Most recently Johnson was consulting several stations and prior to that he had been PD of COX Urban WBHJ (95.7 JAMZ)/Birmingham. Niecy Davis remains as PD for sister Urban AC WFUN (FOXY 95.5).

Clear Channel Urban WKKV (V 100.7)/Milwaukee has announced some changes to the station's lineup. Mike Love joins for weekends/swing. DJ Hot Sauce is new to nights and is also tapped as Production Director. DJO is named Promotions Director and will continue as Mix Show Coordinator.

WEJZ (Lite 96.1)/Jacksonville adds Yvonne Velazquez as its new morning show co-host, joining Arthur Crofton.

Mark Bass exits the GM post at Clear Channel-Chattanooga.

Capitol Records welcomes former Universal Motown VP/Pop Promotion Jason Prinzo for Sr. Director/Pop Promotion duties. Prinzo will be based in Chicago.

EMI Music announces the appointments of Shane Naughton to the position of CFO and Kyla Mullins as General Counsel. Both will become members of EMI Music’s Executive Committee. Naughton is currently CFO of UBM Information, one of the major divisions of international FTSE quoted company United Business Media. He is also CEO of its UBM Connect unit, driving the shift from print to digital across a diverse range of trade publications. Mullins has spent most of her career in management roles in the television business, including most recently ITV plc, the UK’s largest commercial broadcaster, where she was Group Legal Director and a member of the Executive Committee. She will have global responsibility for all of the company’s legal and business affairs activities as well as government affairs.

After Entercom was ordered to pay $16.57 in the "Hold Your Wee For A Wii" water-drinking contest death, the company said it is "fully covered" by insurance. It discloses that fact in its latest quarterly 10-Q filing at the SEC, where Entercom says, "During January 2007, a suit seeking various damages was filed against us relating to an on-air contest. The claims, which were settled in October 2009, were fully covered by our insurance policies." Entercom is not going to appeal the verdict.

Universal Music Group signs a deal with TuneCore to provide online portals for unsigned artists to have their music heard by A&R reps from Interscope Geffen A&M, Universal Motown, Universal Republic and Island Def Jam. Four sites went live today: www.unimodigitaldistribution.com, www.republicdd.com, www.interscopedigitaldistribution.com and www.idjfirstlook.com. Unsigned acts will also have acccess to digital distribution worldwide via these portals.
