Usher's new album, Raymond V. Raymond, has been given a December 21 release date by Jive. The album is expected to deal with the R&B star's recent divorce, as evidenced by the title.

Them Crooked Vultures' anticipated debut album arrives in stores tomorrow, and the trio has announced a last minute show tonight (11/16) at the Roxy in L.A. Tickets to the "Eve of Release" gig will be available exclusively in-person at the venue today. In other TCV news, Explore Music's Alan Cross interviewed the band on Friday, where John Paul Jones denied any rumors of a Led Zeppelin reunion at the Glastonbury Festival next summer. Leona Lewis' "I See You" will be the end credit theme to James Cameron's upcoming blockbuster, Avatar. The song was produced by James Horner and Simon Franglen, the team behind Titanic's massive theme song, "My Heart Will Go On." Titanic was, of course, Cameron's last feature film before Avatar.
Last week, Sports Illustrated reported that The Who had been chosen as the Super Bowl halftime act for February. However, the band has now denied that report, with a statement online simply saying, "Rumours circulating that The Who are going to play at the Super Bowl in Miami in February are pure speculation."
OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder has been keeping busy writing hit songs for other acts, including Leona Lewis, Beyoncé and more, but says his next goal is Hollywood. Tedder tells Billboard, "I used to want to be an actor, but that's never gonna happen, so I might shift into writing movies at some point. I've had a couple screenplay ideas I've been toiling over for the last two or three years. I've already pitched one of them to a buddy of mine who's a producer, and he thinks I could get it made." Tedder has recently collaborated with Katy Perry, Adam Lambert and Rascal Flatts. OneRepublic's new album, Waking Up, is in stores tomorrow (11/17).
Congratulations to Kings Of Leon drummer Nathan Followill, who married his girlfriend, singer/songwriter Jessie Baylin, over the weekend in Tennessee. US Magazine reports the small ceremony was also attended by actress Scarlett Johansson, who went to high school with Baylin.
The mtvU Woodie Awards show has added more performers and presenters. Passion Pit and Clipse featuring Cam'Ron and Rick Ross will all perform on the college music awards show, set to debut across MTV platforms on December 4. New presenters include Pete Wentz, Asher Roth, Zooey Deschanel, 3OH!3, Janelle Monae and more. The awards show will be taped this Wednesday, November 18 in New York City.
Bruce Springsteen made a classic, Spinal Tap-esque mistake on Friday night. While playing the Palace of Auburn Hills in Michigan, he told the crowd "Thank you, Ohio!" at least three times before being corrected by his bandmates. Little Steven Van Zandt told Rolling Stone, "The first time I was like ‘Did I just hear that?’ The second time I looked at [bassist] Garry [Tallent] and said, ‘Did you hear what I just heard?’ At that point I knew I had to get Bruce’s attention, but I couldn’t get it through the rest of ‘Wrecking Ball.’ There was no time to really have that conversation. I’m like, ‘Please, God, don’t give him a chance to do it again before I get a chance to talk to him.’ Sure enough, he did it a third time and I’m like, ‘That’s it. This crowd is about to rebel. They’re going to attack us!’ I just grabbed him and said, ‘You don’t realize it, but you’re saying Ohio and we’re in Michigan.’ He was like ‘What!?'"
