Former WCHH/Baltimore APD/MD/midday hostess Ty heads to Clear Channel sister station WWDC (DC101)/Washington, D.C. for midday duties. Ty will go by Bailey on-air at DC101, starting Monday, November 23. She will also host DC101's Local Lix. "Bailey is a fantastic air personality and awesome addition to the DC101 on air team. Bailey‘s unique talent, winning track record and passion made her a natural choice for such a premiere opening on one of the most successful Alternative stations in the country. The Senate Commerce Committee passed the Local Community Radio Act of 2009 today. The bill allows for expansion of Low-Power FM stations by loosening regulations limiting them. The bill has already passed the House Commerce Committee.

Fontana Distribution, the independent distribution arm of Universal Music Group, has partnered with Cleveland-based Element 9 Muzik LLC to release upcoming titles from the label. The label’s first release through the new partnership is slated for the second quarter of 2010.
FMQB offers condolences to the family and friends of well-known Oklahoma City radio personality Lisa Myrick who passed away on November 17 at the age of 47. Myrick had worked at KATT, KRXO and KQOB.
