Eminem Gives Relapse A Refill
November 20, 2009

Eminem
Eminem will re-release his latest album, Relapse, on December 21 with seven bonus tracks. Relapse: Refill will include the single "Forever," featuring Drake, Kanye West and Lil Wayne (previously found on the More Than A Game soundtrack), "Taking My Ball," released only with the DJ Hero video game, and five never-before-heard songs.

"I want to deliver more material for the fans this year like I originally planned," Eminem explained. "Hopefully these tracks on The Refill will tide the fans over until we put out Relapse 2 next year."

Em added that he
has been busy in the studio creating even more new material since Relapse was released. "I got back in with Dr. Dre and then a few more producers, including Just Blaze, and went in a completely different direction which made me start from scratch," he said. "The new tracks started to sound very different than the tracks I originally intended to be on Relapse 2, but I still want the other stuff to be heard."

During an interview on his Shade 45 satellite radio channel last month, Em said that Relapse 2 will be very different from the original.

"The overall basis of the record is going to be more emotionally driven. On the last record I was concentrated more on just spitting," the rapper told DJ Tony Touch. "A lot of that album is rapid-fire punch lines. With this record, there's some of that, but I went back to making songs with feeling in them. I'm at a point where I'm blessed enough to be in a position where I don't need to put out records, but I want to. I think it [Relapse 2] is going to be a lot different than people expect as far as contrast from the last record to this one."
