Quick Hits: Lil Wayne, My Chemical Romance, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Hole, Godsmack, Silversun Pickups, Maxwell/Jill Scott
March 4, 2010

Lil Wayne's sentencing has been re-scheduled again, according to MTV, this time for Monday, March 8. Earlier this week, a courthouse fire caused by electrical wiring forced Weezy's court date to be postponed. Previously, emergency dental surgery held up his sentencing.

My Chemical Romance
My Chemical Romance have parted ways with drummer Bob Bryar. Guitarist Frank Iero wrote on their official website that Bryar left the band four weeks ago and that "This was a painful decision for all of us to make and was not taken lightly. We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors and expect you all to do the same." He added, "We also wanted to give you all a quick heads up on how the record is progressing. We have been writing some very powerful new songs so this week the four of us entered the studio once again, and what has been ending up on tape each night is some of the most exciting and honest work we have ever created." Bryar joined MCR in 2004, replacing original drummer Matt Pelissier.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony has added a number of performers to the event, as Chris Isaak, Faith Hill, Ronnie Spector and members of Maroon 5 will all be on hand. Also performing at the March 15 event are Peter Wolf, Train singer Pat Monahan, Fefe Dobson and Eric Burdon. It is unknown in what capacity the artists will be involved, or which of this year's inductees will play.

Yesterday, the new Hole single "Skinny Little Bitch" debuted as a free download on the band's new website, nobodysdaughter.com. Courtney Love spoke to WRXP/New York's "Rock Show with Matt Pinfield and Leslie Fram on Wednesday morning, touching on a variety of topics. Speaking about her current rift with her daughter Frances Bean Cobain, Love said, "how many 17 year olds get along with their mother all the time?" She also denied that "Skinny Little Bitch" was about Lindsey Lohan. Love also checked in with Explore Music's Alan Cross yesterday, and you can hear excerpts of their conversation here.

Godsmack is posting a series of webisodes online, leading up to the release of their new album The Oracle on May 4. "The Making Of The Oracle" videos show the band in the studio and previews new tracks from the record. The clips can be viewed at Godsmack's official YouTube channel.

Silversun Pickups, currently on tour opening for Muse, will perform tonight on NBC's Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. The Muse/SSPU tour continues tomorrow night (3/5) at Madison Square Garden in New York.

Maxwell and Jill Scott have announced the itinerary for their upcoming, co-headlining arena tour. The trek starts in Cleveland on May 21 and winds up June 25 at Madison Square Garden in New York. Scott will release her new album, The Light Of The Sun, this summer.
