After three weeks in the #2 spot, Lady Antebellum's Need You Now returns to #1 on the sales chart this week, knocking Sade from the top spot. The country trio sold another 126,000 copies of Need You Now, giving the album its third total week atop the list. It opened at #1 with 481,000 six weeks ago. Sade's Soldier of Love had been on top of the chart for 3 weeks, but drops to #2 this week with 79,000 sold.
Meanwhile, six new releases debuted in the Top 10 this week. Country singer Blake Shelton's latest album, Hillbilly Bone, started at #3 with 71,000, marking his highest rank ever on the chart. American Idol contestant Danny Gokey debuted at #4 with My Best Days, selling 65,000, and the Almost Alice soundtrack/companion set to the new Johnny Depp film Alice in Wonderland debuted at #5 by moving 58,000 units. Lifehouse's Smoke and Mirrors came in at #6 with 54,000, bringing the band its fourth top 10 set and their best sales week since their third album came out in 2005. Also debuting in the Top 10 are Raheem DeVaughn with The Love and MasterPeace, bowing at #9 with 45,000, and Country singer Easton Corbin with his self-titled full-length debut, bowing at #10 with 43,000. Just missing the Top 10 is the eponymous first album from Jason Derulo, which entered the chart at #11 with 42,000 sold.
