A videotape of Kid Rock and Scott Stapp on a tour bus involved in sexual activities with multiple female groupies could possibly be released by the same company that distributed Paris Hilton's now-infamous sex tape. Red Light District has posted a 40-second clip of video online, which has quickly made the rounds on the Internet. The company says the video tape is 45 minutes long in its entirety.
Red Light President David Joseph told Billboard that the video was shot in 1999 when Kid Rock and Stapp's former band Creed were on tour together. Joseph bought the tape from a unnamed source who was going to put the video online for free, but he "basically stopped him from doing that." He adds that he has attempted to contact both singers, but hasn't been able to reach them and says he doesn't need their permission to release it. "This wasn't just shot by one person -- there were a lot of people holding the camera," he says. "Because of that, it's not necessary that we need [them] to sign off on this. We left messages for them but they didn't respond, so maybe they didn’t take it seriously."
The last few months have not been kind to Stapp. Despite getting married the other week, he was arrested for being drunk in public just days later. And back in November, he had an altercation with members of 311.
