Disturbed, A7X Cause An "Uproar"
May 3, 2010

Disturbed
Rockstar Energy Drink already has the Mayhem Festival with KoRn and Rob Zombie traveling around the country this summer, and now the beverage company has introduced yet another tour: the Uproar Festival. The first annual Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival will feature headliners Disturbed and Avenged Sevenfold, along with Stone Sour and Halestorm on the main stage. Playing on the Jägermeister Second Stage will be Hellyeah, Airbourne, Hail The Villain, New Medicine and the Jägermeister Battle of The Bands Winner in each city. The 36-date tour launches on August 17 in Minneapolis and will visit arenas and amphitheatres across North America before wrapping on October 4 in Madison, WI. Tickets go on sale Saturday, June 12.

Disturbed is currently in the studio recording their new CD, Asylum, which is due in late summer. Avenged Sevenfold recently finished tracking their fifth studio album, and Stone Sour also is in the studio working on their as-yet-untitled third effort, which is due this summer.

For A7X, it will be the first tour since the passing of their drummer Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan, and frontman M. Shadows shares, "After recently finishing up our new record we were not sure if we were going to continue touring. We got a call from our friends at Uproar and decided this would be the best way to introduce our fans to the new album. We are excited to share the new music with you and our friends on tour."

"Me and the boys are really looking forward to the Uproar Festival this fall," added Stone Sour's Corey Taylor. "Not only is it another chance to tour the great States, but it’s also a chance for us to play the new material that we've been working on. It’s going to be no holds barred every night, and we hope everyone is ready for it."

"We are truly looking forward to being part of a lineup this strong," said Disturbed's David Draiman. "It's always good to tour with friends."
