Ando Media Releases March & April Internet Radio Rankings
June 11, 2010
Ando Media has released both its March and April Internet radio rankings, after delaying the data for a time. COO Paul Krasinski says, "The Ranker has been delayed due, in large measure, to Ando’s ongoing MRC accreditation process. We have been bringing the MRC through the Ranker process every step of the way. As a result of their recommendations, there are a few changes we have implemented beginning with the March data."
Ando has made some adjustments, which it says "resulted in relatively minor fluctuations in the data." Ando says that all sessions greater than twenty-four hours have now been truncated to twenty-four hours and all sessions are now time-zone normalized based on the ability to determine the listener’s IP address and its corresponding location.
In March, Pandora was ranked #1 based on Domestic Ranker based on AAS for weekdays from 6 a.m.-8 p.m., followed by CBS Radio, Clear Channel, Citadel and Entercom. The rankings were the same for the entire week, 6 a.m. - midnight. Looking at All Streams Ranker based on AAS for the work week, CBS was #1 in March. Digitally Imported was second, followed by 977Music.com, 1.FM and Entercom. The rankings were identical for the full week, 6 a.m. - midnight.
In April, Pandora remained on top for Domestic Ranker for the work week, followed again by CBS, Clear Channel, Citadel and Entercom. The order remained the same when expanded for the entire week. Looking at All Streams Ranker for the work week time frame, CBS Radio was again #1. The rest of the top five was identical to March, and also the same for the full week.
