In a filing with the SEC, Clear Channel revealed that outgoing CEO Mark Mays will make a base salary of $1 million, and will remain as Chairman of the Board until July 31, 2013, when he contract expires. Mays will also be eligible for performance bonuses and other benefits, and has the option to buy his private jet.

Byron Kennedy, PD at CHR/Rhythmic KSFM and OM at Hot AC KZZO/Sacramento is elevated to VP/Programming for the entire CBS Radio-Sacramento station cluster.

Also in Sacto, Entravision Rhythmic CHR KBMB (Hot 103.5) changes its call letters to KHHM.

Active Rock WLUP (97.9 The Loop)/Chicago officially names Walter Flakus for nights. The former Stabbing Westward member had been handling part-time shifts at the Loop. Unfortunately, Flakus' long-running Sirius XM specialty show "Submission>>Transmission" has ended its run.

Townsquare Media flips the frequencies of two stations, as Modern Rock KFTE moves to 105.1, while sister News KPEL is now at 96.5.

John Cook exits as PD of Adult Hits WBEN/Philadelphia, as Greater Media opts not to renew his contract.

Peter Walker joins Univision Communications as President of Univision Local Media. Walker, formerly SVP at Tribune Broadcasting, will oversee operations and sales for the company's local TV and radio stations and interactive properties. Walker begins his new duties on July 12.

According to Digital Music News, SoundExchange paid out $54.8 million in Q2 of 2010, topping the $51.7 million that went to artists in the first quarter.
