Salt Lake City is one of the more competitive Pop markets in the country. Stations share much of the same music as each strives to play the variety of hits that paint the CHR canvass today. When it comes to KUDD and Brian Michel, the modus operandi is differentiation in the music and doing it in a way, as Michel describes, “That focuses on the hits of Utah and not on a particular genre, texture or national chart.” There’s much more focus to Brian Michel that also includes his outspoken views on programming, Pop music cycles, and running a label promotion department.
