CBS Radio President/CEO Dan Mason will receive the National Radio Award during the Radio Show Luncheon, sponsored by Katz Media Group and held Friday, September 21. The luncheon will take place during the 2012 Radio Show, jointly produced by the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) and Radio Advertising Bureau (RAB), September 19-21 in Dallas. "Throughout Dan Mason's extensive career in Radio, his commitment to innovation and growth, coupled with his programming expertise, has shaped Radio as a whole," said NAB EVP of Radio John David. "We welcome the opportunity to honor Dan's contributions to Radio by presenting him with the National Radio Award."

With the exit of Lenny Diana as PD of WRZX (X103)/Indianapolis, Todd Violette joins the Modern Rocker as APD/MD/morning host. Mornings had previously been held down by Premium Choice's Klinger. Clear Channel-Indianapolis OM Buzz Casey will also add programming duties for 'RZX.
Robin Quivers returned to The Howard Stern Show this morning, following "major abdominal surgery." Quivers joined the show live via ISDN from her home and said, "I had a major surgery, a major abdominal surgery and a mass was removed from my pelvic area and I do have some more recovery to do, but everything seems to be fine."
Dave Daniels is named OM for El Doarado Broadcasting's Santa Maria, CA station cluster. Daniels begins his new assignment on June 11.
