Sixteen "Listener Advisory Board" members of Classic Rock station WCSX/Detroit recently became the first members of the WCSX Classic Rock Pace Car program, which means they will have their own car or truck wrapped with a custom design representing music and the station. Each design focuses on the listener's favorite Classic Rock artists, with themes including "Detroit Rock City," "American Bands" and "Guitar Gods."
To find such willing participants, WCSX put drivers through an application and interview process. The chosen ones must keep the wrap on their vehicles for a year and bring the cars to a minimum of six station events. The program runs until the end of 2007.
"The goal of the program was to create rolling monuments to Classic Rock that celebrate our listeners passion for the station and the music we've been delivering for 20 years," said WCSX Marketing Director Jennifer Williams.
