Billie Joe Armstrong announced on his Twitter page last week that Green Day would play a free, "secret show" in the Los Angeles area on Friday, June 22. However, the show now has been called off due to concerns over crowd control. The city of Burbank reportedly denied the band the necessary permits because anticipated turnout was in the thousands, and authorities worried that the number would swell and pose danger to concert-goers once the secret location was revealed, Billboard reported. Green Day is currently promoting their trilogy of albums, ¡Uno!, ¡Dos! and ¡Tre!, which are due to roll out this fall and winter.
     The band also debuted the cover art for ¡Dos!, which as expected, has a picture of bassist Mike Dirnt on the cover. Green Day also released a teaser trailer for the second album in the trilogy, which is due out November 13. You can see the ¡Dos! trailer below:

The Black Keys played a tiny show at Nashville's Springwater Supper Club on Wednesday night to film a video for "Little Black Submarines." In addition to multiple performances of the new single, the band treated the crowd to an hour-long set of tunes culled exclusively from Attack & Release, Brothers and El Camino. Set list selections included "Howlin' for You," "Next Girl," "Nova Baby," "Tighten Up," "Lonely Boy" and "Gold on the Ceiling," according to Rolling Stone.

Lil Wayne is getting closer to releasing his next album, I Am Not A Human Being II. Weezy told MTV News that the album is already finished. "The difference between [this] album and the last I Am Not a Human Being would be the music wasn't rushed," the rapper explained. "Last time the music was rushed because I had to take that eight-month vacation on [Rikers] island so we had rushed the music, but this time we didn't rush the music." The album's first single is "My Homies Still" featuring Big Sean, though the album does not have a set release date.

Katy Perry is in the process of launching her own record label. "I'm preparing for it now," she told the Hollywood Reporter of her as-yet-unnamed imprint. "And when this record label does come to fruition, I'm going to try and avoid the things that take away any fighting chance for an artist to have financial success." Besides revealing that news in the interview, Perry also discussed her upbringing, her divorce from comedian Russell Brand, and her 3-D movie, which is due in theaters on July 5.

Incubus will release INCUBUS HQ LIVE on August 14, chronicling six nights of live shows in Los Angeles. The band will offer three configurations of the live set, including a 16-track CD and DVD, a special edition 28-track double CD, and a limited edition box set available only at http://incubushq.com for a limited time. The August 14 release date coincides with the opening of the 2012 Honda Civic Tour featuring Linkin Park and Incubus.

G.O.O.D. Music rapper Pusha T said in an interview with WQHT (Hot 97)/New York that the G.O.O.D. Music collaborative album, Cruel Summer, will be out on August 7. Kanye West also recently confirmed the first live performance for his G.O.O.D. Music label collective, which will happen at the BET Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday, July 1.

Rob Zombie will write, direct and produce a hockey movie called Broad Street Bullies, a film about the 1970s-era Stanley Cup-winning Philadelphia Flyers. Zombie, who is known for directing horror movies, told Deadline.com that he has the rights to the team's story and the full support of the Flyers organization. He likened the tone of the film to Rocky meets Boogie Nights on ice. "Each character involved is more outrageous than the next," Zombie said. "The backdrop of the turbulent year of 1974 is perfect for this ‘stranger than fiction’ sports tale."

Lily Allen has confirmed that she is working on new music, although the singer didn't say anything concrete about whether the music will turn into a new album. "You will be pleased to know that I am currently in the studio with [producer] Greg Kurstin," Allen wrote on Twitter. "No big deal really, I'm just throwing stuff at the wall and seeing if anything sticks." Allen released her last studio album, It's Not Me, It's You, in 2009.

Queensryche has parted ways with vocalist Geoff Tate, and he will be replaced by Crimson Glory singer Todd La Torre, according to Billboard.com. Drummer Scott Rockenfield said in a statement: "Over the past few months, there have been growing creative differences within Queensryche. We want our fans to know that we hoped to find a common resolution, but in the end parting ways with Geoff was the best way for everyone to move forward in a positive direction. We wish him the best of luck with all of his future endeavors. We can't wait to bring Queensryche to our fans with Todd behind the microphone." The statement also said that any scheduled Queensryche performances "are on hold at [the] present time and revised routing is being worked on."

Yoko Ono and Sonic Youth's Kim Gordon and Thurston Moore have teamed up for a new collaborative album called YOKOKIMTHURSTON. It will arrive on September 25 via Chimera Music, according to a Spin report. A 14-minute single, "Early in the Morning," which will appear on the album, has already been released.
