Ian "Slacker" Richards rises from part-time duties to the MD/afternoon drive post at CHR WDZH/Detroit. Slacker, who starts his new assignment on July 16, previously served as MD/night talent at WRCL/Flint, MI.

CHR WZFT (Z104.3)/Baltimore adds Sean Cage for nights/Imaging and Production Director. Cage comes to Z104.3 from sister Clear Channel CHR WNCI, where he previously held APD/MD, nights and Imaging duties. PD Mick Lee tells FMQB, "Thrilled to announce Sean Cage as Z104.3 Baltimore's new night time talent and imaging/production director! While we had many strong candidates, Sean stood out from the beginning. He's smart, creative, interactive and really understands the Z104.3 brand."
Cage adds, "I can’t even tell you how pumped I am to get my feet on the ground in Baltimore. Z104.3 is a rising star in the world of CHR so needless to say I can’t wait! Special thanks to Mick Lee, Meg Stevens, & Thea Mitchem for this opportunity!"

At CHR KWYL/Reno, APD/MD/afternoon host R-Boogie gets the bump up to PD after four months of handling things on an interim basis.

Steve Solomon, Quantum-Cape Cod Director of Operations and PD at Classic Hits WCIB, is named VP/Station Manager for John Garabedian's Codcomm-Cape Cod station cluster.

Judith Hartmann is named CFO of Bertelsmann, replacing Thomas Rabe by year's end. Rabe had been holding the CFO position in addition to his duties as Chairman/CEO.

Triton Digital announces the signing of a three-year exclusive agreement with Salem Communications to provide streaming services for 94 of its stations. Triton will also provide server-side recordings of shows from the Salem Communications network in order to automatically create RSS feeds for podcasts as part of the deal.
