Long time Opie & Anthony producer Steve Carlesi has passed away, with no details available as to cause of death at this time. Carlesi began his career with the band Foundry in the mid 90s. From there, he went on to work at WNEW 102.7 in New York City, and by the late 90s was teamed up with Opie & Anthony on WNEW, where he helped out with show production and maintained their unofficial website. Steve continued to work with O&A until their firing in 2002, and then rejoined the show as a producer when O&A were hired by XM Satellite Radio in 2004. He was executive producer of the show before being a victim of SiriusXM cutbacks. After O&A, Carlesi joined WYSP/Philadelphia as a producer of the Danny Bonaduce show and had most recently been working at WEZX/Wilkes Barre-Scranton.

We are deeply saddened and heartbroken. Our thoughts go out to his beautiful wife and son." Anthony Cumia: "Life, ugh. Bye Steve. If you see me comin' Best get out of my way, The pendulum is swinging back the other way." Jim Norton: "So sad to hear about Steve C.
