Beyoncé and her representatives at the talent agency ICM have reportedly been shopping a new documentary about the singer's life, which would be directed by Beyoncé herself, according to the Los Angeles Times. A source told the newspaper that the film will examine Beyoncé's career and personal life, combining concert footage with confessional interviews. The singer will star in the movie, as well as direct and produce. Twenty minutes of footage already has been shown to potential distributors.
It is unclear exactly which portion of B's life the movie will cover, but she certainly has had plenty to discuss over the past few years. She released her latest album, 4, split with her father as her manager, and gave birth to daughter Blue Ivy Carter with husband Jay-Z.
Meanwhile, this isn't the only film project that Beyoncé has been connected to as of late. She was recently tapped to voice a character in the upcoming animated movie Epic, which will also feature voiceover work from Steven Tyler and Pitbull. She also is reportedly still set to appear in a new version of A Star Is Born, which Clint Eastwood will produce and direct.
