Field, Kahane & van Dell Launch Trauma 2 Records
August 6, 2012

Music industry veterans Ted Field, Rob Kahane and Thomas E. van Dell have launched Trauma 2 Records, a new label that will operate as a division of Radar Pictures LLC. Field will head up Trauma 2 as CEO, with Kahane named President and van Dell as COO.

Due to Trauma 2's 360 relationship with Radar Pictures, the company plans to sign acts and break them through TV and film. In addition to song placement in its own projects, Radar could also develop TV and film projects around the Trauma 2 artist roster.

Field said in a statement, "The team that Radar has put together is capable of crossing artists into more than one entertainment vertical. Few companies are currently thinking this way and Radar has a close knit, nimble staff that communicates about opportunities between divisions in real time on an ongoing basis. I'm particularly excited about this integrated multi-platform approach."

Trauma 2 Records has inked a distribution deal with Ingroove Fontana that includes upstreaming to Universal Republic.

Joining Trauma 2 as SVP of Promotion will be promo veteran Mike Jacobs. Jacobs stated, "I am so excited for the opportunity to go back to the deep end of the pool and return to the site of some of the best moments of my career; Trauma (2) with Rob, where we also have way too much fun. I also have such respect for Ted as a pioneer with Interscope and Death Row, where I was also involved with the first two Rock records (NIN and Primus). With the new model that Ted, Rob and Tom have created, we will have huge successes and break new ground again."

Joining Jacobs as part of the promotion team will be Dawn Hood as VP of Promotion and David Jacobs as VP of West Coast Promotion.
