The entire cast of Full Throttle Saloon will be on hand in Kansas City at the Berkley Riverfront Park from August 23-26 for ThrottleFest, an event celebrating the birthday of long-time KQRC/Kansas City morning show host Johnny Dare. Hinder will perform Friday night, with Jackyl headlining Saturday, and the entire cast of Full Throttle Saloon is going to be there filming the end of Season 4 of the television show. Saloon owner Mike Ballard and his girlfriend Angie, alongside Jesse James Dupree, will host event, with Goat, Fajita Mike, the Wall of Death, Globe of Death, and many vendors all part of the attraction.
Dupree shared, "The thing for 2012 is BIGGER IS BETTER. It wasn't enough to finish the rally in Sturgis at Full Throttle Saloon... we've made plans to bring all that is FTS to Kansas City. There will be a special VIP event on Thursday for all who purchase the week-end pass."
As for Dupree and Jackyl, they just released the album Best In Show via Dupree's Mighty Loud label. The band also delivered a deluxe version of the title released as a Best Buy exclusive. The CD/DVD set features two additional audio tracks, while the DVD contains a 90-minute retrospective of Jackyl’s 20-year career, interview footage with each band member and a roundtable-style discussion. It also features three music videos that have never been seen before ("Screwdriver," "Better Than Chicken" and "It's Tricky").
Jackyl has announced a tour that will keep the band on the road for the majority of 2012 and into 2013. Dates have been set through September 15 in Howland, ME with more to be added.
