Taylor Swift Video To Premiere Thursday
August 28, 2012

Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift will premiere the video for "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" on Thursday, August 30 at 7:49 p.m. EST as part of the special MTV First: Taylor Swift. The segment will air on MTV, CMT and TeenNick. During MTV First: Taylor Swift, the singer will sit down with MTV News' Sway Calloway to introduce the clip, and immediately following the video, she will stay on for an additional 15-minute interview on MTV.com. The new video reportedly was shot in one continuous take with one camera and no edits. Swift filmed it with director Declan Whitebloom, who also helmed her clips for "Mean" and "Ours."

One week after the video premiere, Swift will perform the song live at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards, taking place on Thursday, September 6 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Swift joins previously announced performers Green Day, P!nk, Alicia Keys and One Direction for the show, which will be hosted by comedian Kevin Hart.

Swift's latest album, Red, is set to drop on October 22. Furthermore, her episode of VH1's Storytellers will air on November 11. Swift will tape the show in front of a group of contest winners, and students at any accredited high school or college in the continental U.S. can enter for the chance to win the opportunity to have her tell her tales and perform for them.
