After two straight months of declines, Pandora and Clear Channel's digital listenership numbers improved in Triton's monthly Internet audio rankings for August. For the Domestic work week ranker (M-F, 6a-8p), Pandora grew from 1,413,700 Average Active Streams (AAS) in July to 1,477,244 AAS in August, with over 720 million Session Stars. Clear Channel had 256,542 AAS in August, an increase from 247,365 in July. Cumulus narrowly moved past CBS Radio to take third place in August, with 70,374 AAS compared to CBS' 70,087. The top ten was rounded out with Slacker, Cox Radio, EMF Corporate, Entercom, ESPN Radio and Digitally Imported.
Looking at the All Streams Ranker for the full week, Clear Channel was easily #1 once again in August, followed by Digitally Imported, CBS Radio, Cumulus, Prisa Radio, Slacker, 977Music.com, EMF Corporate, Cox and Entercom.
Pandora's AAS also rebounded in the full week (6a-mid) Domestic Ranker, up to 1,282,444 in August from 1,214,119 in July. Clear Channel was ranked second, followed by Cumulus, CBS, Slacker, EMF Corporate, Cox, Digitally Imported, Entercom and ESPN Radio.
The All Streams Ranker for August for the full week (6a-mid) ranked Clear Channel on top, followed by Digitally Imported, CBS Radio, Prisa Radio, Cumulus, Slacker, 977Music.com, EMF Corporate, Cox Radio and 1.fm.
