His success as a programmer is well documented. "Berko" was the original PD at the legendary PRO-FM/Providence. He took WROR/Boston from an automated Oldies station to what would become one of the first FM AC’s in America. He went to Detroit to program Full Service powerhouse WJR, guided CHR WHYT to its best numbers ever as a Top 40 station, and launched one of the country’s first Hot AC’s, Q95. In 1990 he opened the doors of Berkowitz Broadcast Consulting and has been helping AC stations grow and achieve higher ratings ever since. [more]
