3 Doors Down
3 Doors Down will stage the 9th annual The Better Life Foundation concert on November 17 at Horseshoe Casino in Tunica, Mississippi. The long-term mission of the foundation is to make a positive change in the lives of children in need of food, shelter, and medical assistance, and to enhance the lives of children and young adults with special needs. Singer Brad Arnold shares, "It's a blessing and a honor to be able to give back to communities in need through The Better Life Foundation. A big thank you to all the fans and sponsors who continue to support the foundation and the amazing work it does!" Touring partner Daughtry will appear at the event, with this performance serving as the kickoff to the bands' co-headlining trek. The silent auction items at the show will include signed guitars from 3 Doors Down, Los Lonely Boys, Korn, Bush, Theory of A Deadman, Godsmack, Staind and Chevelle, alongside drumheads from Nickelback and Josh Groban.

Britney Spears has confirmed that she will guest star on will.i.am's forthcoming solo album. Brit hit the red carpet at the taping of a tribute to Whitney Houston on Thursday night, where she told Access Hollywood that their duet is called "Scream and Shout." "You just have to hear it!" Spears said. "[will.i.am] is just a little radical genius scientist in the studio when he's in there, and he just knows what he's doing, so to be able to do a song with him is really fun."

Tom Petty will be auctioning off his personal 1996 Jaguar XJS Convertible on October 11 through eBay. Production of the XJS model Jaguar ended in 1996 after 21 years on the line. Proceeds from the auction will go to Doctors Without Borders. "I have so many great memories associated with this car," says Petty. "When I began dating Dana (my wife) I asked her what her favorite car was. So, I phoned the office and said I wanted a Champagne convertible Jaguar XJS. The next day they delivered it to my house and showed me how everything worked and I took it for a drive down the Pacific Coast Highway. I was in heaven, as was Dana. This car has such and incredible design. My favorite car I ever owned. We sure are going to miss it."

Queen guitarist Brian May confirmed on his blog that a planned Freddie Mercury biopic is on track for an early 2014 release. "The pieces are all falling into place, though we are now on a slightly later schedule - filming is now scheduled to start in the Spring, with Sacha Baron Cohen playing Freddie," May wrote online. "The film should be ready for release early in 2014. We did make some other plans, but they will have to stay under wraps for now." May added that "Being in Queen is – bizarrely – as full of surprising twists and turns as ever - 40 years since we first got together, and 20 years after losing Freddie. But of course Freddie is in so many ways very much alive."
