Clear Channel Media & Entertainment-Philadelphia has an immediate opening for an Imaging & Night Show On-Air host for CHR WIOQ (Q102).

  • Imaging duties include: Managing imaging library, tools, and equipment to create a station marketing campaign on-air, on the web stream, and on-line; Coordinate with the programming staff, voice talent, and the PD to accomplish the creative goals of the station;  Creatively package, image and promote the brand & more.
  • On Air duties include: Dynamic Top 40 Personality that can understand the mindset of our 18-34 target audience; Knowledge of what makes America’s youth tick; Phone-Active with exciting PPM-aware content; Knows the music and lives the lifestyle; Upbeat, positive team player; Social Media Ninja – Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Tumblr; Can roll video, cut video, and produce stellar finished product; Loves meeting and talking with artists; Ready to hit the streets at a moment’s notice; Loves to meet listeners and make a positive lasting impression; Has an inbred desire to win and succeed and Doesn’t know the meaning of losing.
  • Experience/Skills/Qualifications: Minimum 3 years on air experience and experience in imaging and production in a similar format, preferably in a highly competitive environment; Knowledge V Creative, and a digital audio editing system, and NexGen experience is preferred; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Ability to multi-task and coordinate projects across multiple departments and Impeccable references.

Premiere Networks announces that Elvis Duran and The Morning Show has reached a new milestone of 50 affiliates nationwide.  Recent affiliate adds for the popular CHR morning show include: WWPW (Power 96.1)/Atlanta, WRNW (97-3 Radio Now)/Milwaukee, WVMA (The New 105.3)/Norfolk and WZEE (Z104)/Madison. "For millions of listeners, Elvis and his on-air team are an essential start to their day," stated Peter Tripi, Premiere Networks SVP of Affiliate Relations/Talk and Morning Shows. "The show’s enthusiastic and creative approach to morning radio is also winner across every category - audience, affiliates, advertising and ratings. We couldn’t be happier with the continued growth and success of Elvis Duran and The Morning Show and look forward to reaching many more milestones together."

Classic Rock WDTW (106.7 The D)/Detroit names Casey Krukowski PD, effective immediately. Krukowski most recently served as PD at WEBN/Cincinnati. "The rock knowledge, creativity and full understanding of the business that Casey brings to Detroit makes him the perfect candidate to lead 106.7 The D’s programming," said Tony Travatto, OM for Clear Channel Media and Entertainment-Detroit. "I know Casey will help 106.7 The D continue to be the classic rock leader in ratings and revenue."

CHR WIOQ (Q102)/Philadelphia continues to roll out the lineup for its 2012 Jingle Ball. On Tuesday, the station added The Wanted and Ed Sheeran to Justin Bieber, PSY and Cher Lloyd. More acts will be announced today and tomorrow.

AC KEZK/St. Louis welcomes Trish Gazall for morning co-host duties. Gazall joins Vic Porcelli on the air effective Tuesday, October 23. The Vic and Trish show will be heard weekday mornings from 5 – 9 a.m.
 
Chris Garrett exits the PD post at Clear Channel Media and Entertainment Active Rock WGIR/Manchester and Rock WHEB/Portsmouth.

Pete McMurray exits as morning host at Merlin Media Adult Hits WIQI (i101)/Chicago. McMurray recently segued across the hall to i101 from mornings at sister Rocker WLUP (The Loop).

Republic Records announces that it will continue its partnership with LAVA Records. Republic has delivered promotion, marketing, sales, and distribution services for LAVA, headed up by industry veteran Jason Flom. Republic CEO/Co-President Monte Lipman comments, "LAVA is an incredible partner for us. Jason's commitment to finding and developing talent remains paramount to the label’s success. We've always shared passion for breaking new acts, and working together has been immensely rewarding."
    
Flom adds, "Republic is the perfect place for LAVA to grow and expand. Already, we've solidified the label as a crucial presence in the modern landscape. We're going to continue pushing the envelope together and bringing some great music to the mainstream."

Michael Savage returns to syndication thanks to a new deal with Cumulus Media Networks. Savage will be heard 9 p.m. - midnight ET, starting next Tuesday, October 23. The Talk host recently left Talk Radio Network (TRN) following a legal victory against the company.
     "As we aggressively create radio’s most compelling mix of show hosts the addition of Michael Savage is a milestone in our determined efforts to provide our listeners nationwide with the best programing in the business," stated Cumulus Co-COO John Dickey. Savage himself added, "Cumulus and Savage will make radio history. The turbulent times we live in give Talk radio a new power. This is the biggest move of my radio career and I look forward to reaching many millions of new listeners on their flamethrower signals."

Kent Klavens is appointed SVP, Business and Legal Affairs for Universal Music Publishing Group.
