Quick Hits: Bon Jovi, Bruno Mars, Rolling Stones, Lil Wayne & Dr. Dre, 3OH!3, Diddy, American Idol
October 25, 2012

Bon Jovi will embark on a world tour next year in support of the upcoming album, What About Now, to be released in spring 2013. The band already has unveiled some Canadian dates for the Because We Can tour, running from February 13 in Montreal to April 5 in Winnipeg. With U.S. dates to be announced in the coming weeks, Bon Jovi will also tour Europe, the Far East, Africa, Latin America and Australia.

Bruno Mars has unveiled the album cover and tracklist for his new album, Unorthodox Jukebox, which comes out on December 11. The cover (seen to the right) features a gorilla draped over an old school jukebox, and the album's 10 tracks include songs called "Gorilla," the single "Locked Out Of Heaven," "Young Girls" and "Treasure." Unorthodox Jukebox is executive produced by Mars and his songwriting/production team The Smeezingtons, and they partnered with other producers including Jeff Bhasker, Mark Ronson and Diplo to create the 10-track album.

As expected, the Rolling Stones have announced that they will play a small warm-up gig in Paris to get ready for their 50th anniversary concerts in November and December. The band announced on Twitter that the show will happen tonight, and that they were selling tickets for 15 euros ($19.45) each at a music store in the center of the city. Fans lined up from the early hours of the morning at the Virgin Megastore on the Champs Elysees after the Stones said that 350 tickets would be available there, according to a Reuters report. "Mobile phones, cameras, video equipment and recording devices are strictly prohibited," the band tweeted ahead of the gig.

Lil Wayne and Dr. Dre have been collaborating on Weezy's special Beats By Dre headphones, but will fans ever hear some music from the two? According to Wayne, they have recorded tons of tracks together, but he doesn't know when or if they'll see the light of day. "I've always worked with Dre," Wayne told MTV News on his tour bus in Las Vegas. "I'm not sure if you guys know how Dre works, Dre always send you a song, so I done probably did like 90 songs for Dre. You just never know which one he gonna put out." Meanwhile, Weezy is readying the release of his 10th solo album, I Am Not a Human Being II, for December, and he says it will feature collaborations with Kanye West, Cool & Dre, Streetrunner and Juicy J.

When 3OH!3 got to work on their upcoming fourth album, Omens, the dance-pop duo opted to "go back to basics," working in Nathaniel Motte's basement studio in Boulder, CO without any set plan for what came out. Fans should not expect to hear any guest stars this time around, despite their hit songs with Katy Perry and Ke$ha in the past. "We love tons of people and always seek out new artists we love and want to work with, but this time we really wanted to put our foot forward as 3OH!3 and showcase what we can do," Sean Foreman told Billboard.com. "That was the primary focus of the album, that we just got in there by ourselves and did what we wanted to do. I have no doubt we'll work with people in the future, but this just felt like the right way to go about making this album." 3OH!3 has so far unleashed the song "You're Gonna Love This" and they expect to release a second single before Omens comes out. The duo is planning to tour extensively in 2013.

Diddy was reportedly involved in a minor car accident in Los Angeles on Wednesday night that left him and another driver injured, according to TMZ. The report says a vehicle attempted to turn left in front of Diddy's SUV when the two vehicles collided. Police arrived at the scene and claimed that each of the victims, including the Rapper, his driver and the other driver, complained of pain. An ambulance was called, but no one sought medical attention at the hospital. Meanwhile, The Hollywood Reporter says that Diddy has signed on to make a cameo appearance on the FX sitcom It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, and he also has a role in the upcoming film Shoedog.

American Idol is set to return to FOX for its 12th season on January 16 and 17 with a two-night premiere, when fans will finally get to see new judges Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj and Keith Urban in action. The Wednesday, January 16 show will air from 8-10 p.m. and the next night will see the third hour of the premiere starting at 8 p.m. ET.
