Coldplay

With the concert film Coldplay Live 2012 set to come out on November 19, fans will have two opportunities to get a sneak preview of the film. Coldplay Live 2012 will receive a one-night-only release in cinemas around the world on Tuesday, November 13, and then on November 17, the EPIX network will premiere the film on TV, online at EpixHD.com, and on EPIX apps. The movie documents Coldplay's Mylo Xyloto world tour. "The Mylo Xyloto tour has been the most fun we've ever had as a band," said singer Chris Martin. "It's felt very uplifting right from the start; partly because we are proud of the music, the LED wristbands, the pyrotechnics, the lasers and all of that stuff, but mainly because of the amazing audiences that we've been playing for. Over the years, our crowd has become more and more a part of the concert itself. They're loud, diverse, full of soul, and make the songs sound much better than we can on our own. We wanted to try to bottle the incredible feeling that they give us, and hence our concert film."

President Obama will wrap up his campaign with performances by both Bruce Springsteen and Jay-Z in Columbus, OH, on Monday. Springsteen also will perform again later that day at the president’s final rally in Des Moines, Iowa. Meanwhile, The Boss also played a concert in Pennsylvania on Thursday night where he dedicated the song "My City of Ruins" to his hometown of Asbury Park, NJ as it recovers from the devastating Hurricane Sandy. The busy Springsteen also will be seen tonight on NBC's all-star benefit concert special, Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together, which will raise funds for those affected by the storm. The special also features native New Jersey and New York artists like Jon Bon Jovi, Christina Aguilera and Billy Joel. It airs tonight at 8 p.m. ET on the NBCUniversal family of networks: NBC, USA, MSNBC, CNBC, Bravo, E!, Style Network and G4. The concert special will also be simulcast via iHeartRadio.

The details of Nicki Minaj's upcoming Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded - The Re-Up have been revealed. The two-disc set will include eight new tunes on the first disc, with appearances from Lil Wayne, Ciara and others. The entire Roman Reloaded album makes up the second disc, and a 90 minute behind the scenes DVD will reportedly be included as well.

A trailer has surfaced online for Kanye West's Cruel Winter, saying only that it is "coming soon." Director and editor Austin Christianson debuted the short clip on Halloween via his website and video platforms (Vimeo, YouTube). Cruel Winter would follow the G.O.O.D. Music collaboration album Cruel Summer, although no details are currently available about guest rappers, singles or a release date.

Big Boi's second solo solo album, Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors, has been pushed back to a December 11 release date. In advance of the album, the Rapper already has released a new single, "Mama Told Me," featuring Kelly Rowland. Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors is Big Boi's long-awaited follow-up to Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son Of Chico Dusty, his first stand-alone solo album, released in July 2010.

Forbes' annual list of top-earning dead musicians is out, with Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley topping the list. Jackson is #1, as his estate raked in a whopping $145 million in 2012. A huge part of his earnings come from the Michael Jackson Immortal World Tour, a joint venture with Cirque Du Soleil, that grossed $160 million during its first leg. Presley was second on the list with $55 million, while Bob Marley took third with $17 million. John Lennon and George Harrison round out the Top 5, thanks to the enduring sales of Beatles albums.

Nelly is celebrating his birthday today by giving fans a free gift in the form of his new mixtape, Scorpio Season. "Scorpio Season is actually my second mixtape I've ever done, so I'm still new to this territory so to speak," the rapper told Mixtape Daily of his latest. "I think this one is dope because I'm actually dropping it on my birthday, November 2. Proud Scorpio through and throughout, so I hold that down every time I can."

In anticipation for next November's 20-year anniversary of the Wu Tang Clan's debut album, Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), RZA is eyeing a reunion for the eight-man crew, and he plans to oversee the project. "He knows what it takes to go ahead and get there. He done studied the game now," Ghostface Killah told MTV News about the reunion. Ghost added that the Clan is working on a new album in between all of their solo projects. "While I was doin' my Supreme Clientele [solo album], the second one, The Wally Era, I was doin' joints for the next Wu album," he added.

Alt-J has won the U.K.'s prestigious Mercury Prize for their debut album, An Awesome Wave. The annual music prize is awarded for the best album from the United Kingdom and Ireland. An Awesome Wave was recently released on September 18 in the United States, and the band will do a short west coast tour from December 11-17.
