Shamrock Communications Re-Launches Modern Rock KRZQ/Reno

Shamrock Communications-Reno Director of Broadcast Operations Willobee Carlan announces the return of Modern Rock KRZQ to the market. Last year, KRZQ was flipped to Hot AC after almost two decades as a Modern Rocker. When Shamrock asked Reno residents what format they would like the company to return to the market, "the response was overwhelmingly for an Alternative KRZQ."

The station will launch in the very near future on the 104.1 frequency, with KRZQ alums Chris Payne in afternoon drive and Smilin' Marty in mornings. The new KRZQ will celebrate its return next Tuesday (11/13) with a concert from Everclear.

KRZQ will launch its new website soon at KRZQRadio.com, and has already debuted its Facebook (www.facebook.com/KRZQRadio) & Twitter (@KRZQRadio) accounts.
