Keith Naftaly Named EVP/Head Of A&R At RCA Records
November 9, 2012

Keith Naftaly
Keith Naftaly has been promoted to EVP/Head of A&R for RCA Records. Naftaly previously held the title of SVP, A&R, RCA/JIVE Label Group.  In this expanded role, he will now oversee the pop and pop/urban A&R staff and will be integrally involved in all RCA releases. In addition, he will continue to handle A&R for specific artists on the label’s roster including Kelly Clarkson, Christina Aguilera, Sterling Simms, Elle King, Imogen Heap, Fantasia and Hot Chelle Rae, among many others. Naftaly's team consists of J Grand (SVP, A&R and Marketing), Shawn Holiday (SVP, A&R, West Coast), Wayne Williams (SVP, A&R), Mr. Morgan (VP, A&R), Trevor Jerideau (VP, A&R) and Adonis Sutherlin (Sr. Director, A&R). He will continue to report to RCA CEO Peter Edge and will remain in the company’s New York headquarters.

Mark Pitts will continue to work alongside Edge and will remain President, A&R Urban Music / CEO Bystorm Entertainment. RCA Records’ A&R executives Rani Hancock (EVP, A&R), David Wolter (SVP, A&R), and Bryan Leach (SVP, Urban A&R, RCA Records / President Polo Grounds Music) will also continue to report to Edge.

Edge comments, "Keith is one of the most gifted people I have had the pleasure to work with in music. His instincts and experience in record making and identifying those elusive elements that make a hit are the best. His passion for music is matched by his ability to be a creative partner and mentor for those he works with."

Naftaly adds, "I feel incredibly blessed to be working with the most mind-blowingly genius and diverse roster of artists in the music industry. We’re at the dawn of a brand new era at RCA and I’m thrilled and proud to be at the center of its creative pulse. I’d like to salute the astonishingly talented Peter Edge for his trailblazing style of leadership and thank him from my extremely full heart for this kickass opportunity."

Since 2009, Naftaly has been with the RCA/JIVE Label Group where he has put his creative stamp on projects from Pitbull, Britney Spears, Santana, Leona Lewis, Rod Stewart, Jordin Sparks and many more. He also appeared as a judge on Bravo’s Platinum Hit and Alloy Entertainment’s Talent, as well as VH1’s Fantasia For Real. He has previously held senior A&R positions at Sony Music, J Records and Arista Records. Before joining the label side of the business, Naftaly started in radio, most notably at KMEL/San Francisco and KKBT (The Beat)/Los Angeles.
