Joel Klaiman

Word is circulating rapidly in New York regarding Republic Records EVP of Promotion & Artist Development Joel Klaiman and his impending move to the coveted Executive Vice President/GM position of Columbia Records. Klaiman, who arrived at Republic in 2006, has done a masterful job of developing artists and his track record at radio speaks volumes of his accomplishments. He has certainly ascended to the ranks of one of the top promotion executives in the business.

In his new role at Columbia he will be reporting directly to Chairman/CEO Rob Stringer. The move will reunite Klaiman with the Sony building, a place he spent nine years at in various promo executive positions with Epic Records and 550/WORK Group, culminating as EVP/Promotion at Epic. An official announcement is imminent.
