Inside Soundgarden: King Animal
November 13, 2012

Today, Soundgarden releases King Animal, the reunited rockers' first new album in 16 years. FMQB Productions presents Inside Soundgarden: King Animal, featuring Chris Cornell, Kim Thayil, Ben Shepherd and Matt Cameron discussing the new album and the band’s reunion with Matt Pinfield.

During the one-hour special, which can be heard below, the band discuss the writing process for the new material and the inspiration behind their new songs, as well as Cameron pulling double-duty behind the drums with Soundgarden and Pearl Jam and more.

In other Soundgarden news, the band will appear as part of SiriusXM's Town Hall series, where they will perform and answer questions from SiriusXM listeners in a Q&A moderated by Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins. "SiriusXM’s Town Hall with Soundgarden" will air on Pearl Jam Radio, channel 22, on Friday, November 16 at 6:00 pm ET.

Additionally, Soundgarden performed last night (11/12) as part of CBS' Live On Letterman webcast series, before appearing on the Late Show With David Letterman. Their entire webcast can be streamed here.

Last Friday, Soundgarden announced a 2013 North American tour in support of King Animal. The tour begins in Washington, D.C. on January 18 with dates announced up to a two-night stand in Los Angeles on February 15 and 16.
