November 19, 2012

Dennis Blair
Republic Records has promoted Dennis Blair to SVP of Rock Formats for the label. Blair's previous title was VP of Rock Formats. He joined the label in 2008 as VP of Alternative Promotion.

Republic founder/CEO Monte Lipman stated, "His work ethic and determination have proven inspirational for the entire team and led to incredible accomplishments for our artists. This promotion is well deserved!"

Blair adds, "We've been on a phenomenal roll here at Republic! I’ve been fortunate enough to work with the absolute best in the business: Monte, Avery Lipman and my team mate, John DiMaio. It is with great ardor that I enter this next phase of my career, and I can't thank them all enough."

Prior to joining Republic in '08, Blair was Senior Director of Rock/Alternative Promotion for RCA Records. He began his career in 1993 at Geffen Records.
