Tina Smash is named PD at Active Rock WXQR/Greenville, replacing Wes Styles, who recently exited to join WQBK/Albany as its new PD. Smash has been at WXQR since 2007 and will continue in her duties in afternoon drive.
Budget-related personnel cuts at Alpha Broadcasting-Portland, OR sees the exit of Triple A KINK night host Inessa Anderson, reports the Oregonian. Anderson, who also hosted a local show, Homegrown Spotlight, was a 12 year vet of the station. Nine employees in total exited Alpha's Portland cluster last week.
Promotion Director Sheila Taylor exits Modern Rocker WEND/Charlotte after a dozen years at the station. She was also overseeing promotions for sister Clear Channel CHR WHQC (Channel 96-1).

Clear Channel CHR stations across the country will celebrate the holiday season with their Jingle Ball concerts, starting with WKQI (Channel 955)/Detroit this Saturday, November 24. CCM+E has leveraged the Jingle Ball name in to a brand coast-to-coast, with holiday concerts slated up to December 16 with KBKS (106.1 KISS FM)/Seattle. Jingle Balls will also be held in Los Angeles (12/1 & 12/3), Minneapolis (12/4), Philadelphia (12/5), Boston (12/6), New York City (12/7), Miami (12/8), Tampa (12/9), Washington, D.C. (12/11), Atlanta (12/12) and San Francisco (12/14). D.C's WIHT (Hot 99.5) and WWPW (Power 96.1)/Atlanta are hosting their first-ever Jingle Balls. "From its origination at Z100 in New York, Jingle Ball has now spread across the country and become the biggest holiday music event in several of our markets.
