Republic Records Promotes David Nathan To SVP Of Radio & Video Promotion
November 26, 2012

David Nathan
Republic Records has promoted David Nathan to SVP of Radio & Video Promotion. Nathan was previously VP of Promotion and Sports Marketing at the label. He will continue to collaborate with all artists across the label's roster, including Taylor Swift, Florence + The Machine, Alex Claire, Of Monsters And Men, Enrique Iglesias and more. Nathan has been instrumental in launching numerous campaigns at radio and video.

Republic Records Founder/CEO Monte Lipman comments, "David is embedded in the fabric of this label. He's been here since the beginning, and he constantly delivers for every artist. His devotion makes him an essential asset."

Nathan himself adds, "Republic is an amazing place to work. It's a family team. Monte Lipman and Avery provide a platform for us to do incredible things. It starts with radio, but the idea is to develop these artists full circle across radio, video, digital platforms and beyond. We make sure to expand our goals, but we always stick to the company mantra, 'We break new artists'. It is an honor to be a part of that process."

David became a part of Republic during its inception in 1996. He joined the company as NY Regional Promotion Manager and moved through the ranks as National Director of Pop Promotion, VP of Pop Promotion, SVP of Video Promotion, and most recently VP of Promotion and Sports Marketing. He began his career in the music business as an assistant at Columbia Records and then moved to Crossover Promotion at Island Records before joining Republic.

This is the second high-profile promotion at Republic this month, as last Monday Dennis Blair was named SVP of Rock Formats for the label.
