Alicia Keys

On Monday night in New York City, the Empire State Building, along with Clear Channel Media and Entertainment and Alicia Keys, revealed the building's new LED tower lights with a first-ever light show on the landmark. Keys flipped the switch for the light show live in Clear Channel's New York City studios while the lights were synchronized on-air to two of Keys’ tracks: "Girl on Fire" and "Empire State of Mind." The songs aired on four Clear Channel radio stations: Z100, 103.5 KTU, Power105 and 106.7 Lite fm. The light show also will be hosted for on-demand viewing at www.iHeartRadio.com starting today. "The Empire State Building has always been a symbol of what's possible in New York, and all the dreams that can come true in this city that never sleeps," commented Keys before the light show. "I'm so excited to unveil the new tower lights that are going to illuminate the city below like never before - shining bright with inspiration. As a proud New Yorker, I'm so honored and humbled to be a little part of its history."

Bon Jovi, Dave Grohl and Eddie Vedder have all been added to the lineup for the 12-12-12 Hurricane Sandy benefit concert. The rockers join the likes of Paul McCartney, Kanye West, Bruce Springsteen, Alicia Keys, The Who, Roger Waters and Billy Joel. The concert is set for December 12 at Madison Square Garden and tickets go on sale this Monday (12/3).

Dave Grohl will host a SiriusXM show, Dave Grohl Presents Sound City, as a tie-in to his upcoming documentary on the legendary Sound City recording studio. The show will air in a limited run on the satcaster starting this Thursday, November 29 on the Classic Vinyl channel at 4 p.m. ET. Every week, the show will highlight an era of Sound City's history, starting in the early '70s with Neil Young, Fleetwood Mac, Elton John and more. The show will run every Thursday into late January. Grohl's Sound City film is expected to be released in 2013.

The first leg of Kid Rock's Rebel Soul tour kicks off in Kansas City on February 2, with dates announced up to March 3 in Louisville. Kid Rock will also play a two-night stand in Hollywood, FL on December 30 and 31 to wrap up 2012.

The dates have been announced for five major Rock festivals for the spring of 2013. Dubbed "2013 World's Loudest Month," the festival dates are as follows: Welcome To Rockville - April 27 in Jacksonville, FL; Carolina Rebellion - May 4 & 5 in Charlotte, NC; Rockfest - May 11 in Kansas City, MO; Rock On The Range - May 17, 18 & 19 in Columbus, OH; and Rocklahoma - May 24, 25 & 26 in Pryor, OK. "The Rock festival business is as robust as ever, thanks to the loyal fans around the country and the many young and classic artists that continue to see the WLM festivals as a unique opportunity to showcase to the masses," says Joe Litvag, Co-Executive Producer of World's Loudest Month. "2013 will raise the bar, yet again, we’re certain!"

Former Guns N' Roses axeman Izzy Stradlin joined up with his old band during their residency in Las Vegas over the weekend. Stradlin played the Use Your Illusion II cut "14 Years," on which he also handled vocals. The guitarist also played with GNR back in May when he took the stage with Axl Rose in London.
